We pride ourselves on going above and beyond when it comes to looking after your cats. Whether it’s a fish tank in the office, our weekend ‘Entertainment Crew’ or bird feeders hanging outside the chalets, we always have your cat’s happiness in mind. However, as well as the fun personal touches, it’s important that you know that we also do a great job on the basics.
It’s vital to us that we get to know you as much as your cats. We’ll spend time asking you all about your cat’s health, temperament, dietary needs and favourite toys, whether they like a cuddle or whether they prefer to be left in peace. The more we understand about what makes your cat happy the more comfortable we can make their stay and the happier you will be.
We never want to turn any cats away so please make sure that if you’d like your cat to board at Claremont Cattery that animals over six months old are neutered and that you bring the inoculation certificate detailing up-to-date vaccinations. Vaccination courses should be completed at least two weeks before boarding commences. All cats should be wormed and flea treated with vet prescribed products.
Cats are boarded in secluded, peaceful garden surroundings and all chalets contain a snug cabin which is heated when the weather is cold. We have comfortable single, double and family accommodation which can house three or four same household cats.
We provide a range of dry and wet food as well as the occasional treat. All cats are fed twice a day. We are happy to accommodate specialist diets but recommend that you provide the food to ensure continuity and consistency for your cat.
We have long experience of administering medication to cats that board with us. We will discuss any medical requirements at length as part of the checking in process. We regret that we’re unable to offer injections for cats suffering from diabetes or other conditions.
