Essential Info

Check-in

It’s vital to us that we get to know you as much as your cats. We’ll spend time asking you all about your cat’s health, temperament, dietary needs and favourite toys, whether they like a cuddle or whether they prefer to be left in peace. The more we understand about what makes your cat happy the more comfortable we can make their stay and the happier you will be.

Requirements

We never want to turn any cats away so please make sure that if you’d like your cat to board at Claremont Cattery that animals over six months old are neutered and that you bring the inoculation certificate detailing up-to-date vaccinations. Vaccination courses should be completed at least two weeks before boarding commences. All cats should be wormed and flea treated with vet prescribed products.

Chalets

Cats are boarded in secluded, peaceful garden surroundings. Our brand new chalets contain an indoor area which is individually heated and thermostatically controlled, so that we can maintain the perfect temperature for your cat. Each chalet has a large outside run and a variety of shelved areas to be explored and provide the perfect viewing point.

Scratch posts, beds, bedding, feeding bowls and litter trays come as standard. Enrichment is an important part of what we do so expect to see toys, cardboard boxes, puzzle feeders and a variety of wonderful things ready to keep your cat entertained. Extra large family accommodation is also available which can accommodate three or four same household cats.

Food

We provide a range of dry and wet food included in our daily charge. All cats are fed twice a day but just ask us if you need a different feeding schedule. We are happy to accommodate specialist diets but recommend that you provide the food to ensure continuity and consistency for your cat. We have a fridge and freezer so we can also accommodate raw feeders.
If you would like to treat your cat to something a little bit extra during their stay please check out our bespoke menu for a variety of treats and services.

Medication

We have long experience of administering medication to cats that board with us. We will discuss any medical requirements at length as part of the checking in process. We regret that we’re unable to offer injections for cats suffering from diabetes or other conditions.
We have a great working relationship with our local vets Sherwood , and call on them should the need arise.

Security

Claremont Cattery is a family run business and sits on our property. Therefore there is always someone here watching over your cats. We also have a professionally installed and monitored alarm system, security lighting and CCTV in place. For peace of mind, the cattery is fitted with hard-wired smoke detectors and fire extinguishers which are regularly serviced. We are fully insured through Pet Sanctuary.
